January 2020 - Part 1 - Buenos Aires

We have been in Buenos Aires for a week now. What a great city. We have done a lot of walking around and eating and drinking  around. We intend to give it our best shot and go out with a bang on the last two nights here.
Then we join the cruise ship on Monday.

This is a very quick blog before we get on the ship and the internet is limited.

Our airbnb in San Telmo has been superb, in the best location.
Blog PART 2 will feature spectacular IguazĂș Falls!

Bye for now.

For a change, we are starting with the grand kids (because the iPad says so!)
Flying over the Andes

First day out in “BA”

One of the more unusual antique shops near our place

Really good local beer

And they make great quiche too.

Argentinian parilla just round the corner

This was just outside arrivals at the airport!

Every Sunday the streets round our apartment become a market

Unfortunately, it tasted like it looked!

Its impossible to describe in a single photo this place where we ate last night

The cemetary in Recoleta was truly impressive

Street scene in La Boca

a bit of live music from 2 busking music students

No explanation as to why this lady knits this stuff. But she seemed very happy.

Gentle giant Miguel our trusty driver

This happens every Sunday literally outside our front door

This gentleman has been at it a long time

Meanwhile back in the cemetary....
