January/February 2023

Here's a collection of recent photos, some taken when we went home for Christmas.

This is not Mexico. We were home for the snowfall before Christmas.

Christmas Day. Phil was working and Jonathan/Kendrianne were stuck with Covid!

Story time with Lilly (and Brody!)

Our friend Mike's boat, which was beached during Hurricane Odile in 2014

Paul playing with the Unusual Suspects, with Mike on guitar!

Setting out on our second senderismo (hike in Spanish)

It was a pretty strenuous climb up the arroyo near Saltito

Group shot on a precarious ridge

Fantastic mural in the centre of La Paz

The entertainment at the traffic lights is ever more adventurous!

We went fishing at Bahia de los Muertos

Many fish were caught, including this shark (which was quickly released!)

We had a feast of poke, sashimi and cerviche from the day's catch.

Our friend Helga arrived in time to catch the house concert at Karen's

We remember our neighbour Ed every time we see the pots he left us.

Karen & Celia's niece Salma getting started on our new mural.

She did a wonderful job, we couldn't be happier.

After cooking pizzas and focaccia, I tried a paella in the wood oven

It worked well!

Sambolero's new Saturday sunset gig on the Malecon

We had a 'snow day'...

... but the sunset made up for it.

We can't wait for these three squirts to arrive next month! Whoo hoo!

  3. Dad would be delighted to see his beautiful pots desolated in your home. He loved you both dearly. I miss him every day. Grateful you all are enjoying your casa. And praying for good neighbors for you soon.
